Belgrade Weekly Phone Photo #13

First of all, Happy Easter to those celebrating it today! This is the Temple of St Sava (Hram svetog Save) located in Belgrade’s Vracar neighbourhood. It’s one of the largest Orthodox churches in the world and dominates Belgrade’s skyline. Designed by architect Aleksander Deroko, construction began in 1935 but was halted because of World War II. Construction only began again in 1985 and although the church is in use, builders are still working on its interior to this very day.
