Here’s a snapshot of Belgrader’s waiting for the bus on Bulevar Despota Stefana (formerly 29. Novembra). I was happily already on a bus going in the other direction.
For Balkan File’s British readers, it may look like they’re forming a polite queue, but they’re not. It can be a free for all to get on (and off) buses, especially at the Zeleni venac area of town where lots of people find themselves catching connecting buses.
They probably won’t have long to wait for their bus. One thing I like about Belgrade’s public transport is that the buses seem to come along very often regardless of the day of the week or time of day. Well, the buses I use do at least!
