In Belgrade, roadworks are done a bit differently to those back in the UK. This is Resavska street in central Belgrade, which has been completely dug up with new tram tracks, road surfaces and pavements being made. But if you need to go to a shop, get to your flat or normally use this street to get from A to B, it’s perfectly acceptable to walk right through the construction site. Easy enough for most, but it may prove more difficult for older people and extremely difficult for people with disabilities.
