Belgrade Weekly Phone Photo #31

A street lamp in a residential street in Belgrade with a mass of wires, electrical I presume, wrapped around it and heading off in all directions.

Couldn’t be 100% sure, but I think they might be phone wires – the whole thing doesn’t look robust enough to be carrying mains electricity. Could be wrong, but then it would explain why phone call quality (and dial-up internet!) have historically been so poor in Belgrade!

Maybe, it would be a lot safer if they were phone wires!

To be honest, I don’t know the difference between the different kinds of wires – I’m used to them being underground and not held up by street lights :)
