This photo was taken from the window of the newly-renovated Beograd department store on Terazije square. Terazije is officially considered to be the very centre of Belgrade. The green and yellow building is the Hotel Moskva (Moscow Hotel). Built in 1906, it is one of Belgrade’s most recognisable landmarks and is famed for its restaurant and pastry shop. If you’re ever in Belgrade during spring or summer, you must sit down outside the hotel for a coffee and people watch.

Lovely photo, Adam. I may take one from there, too! Look how tall Hotel Moskva looks–a bit of distortion on your cell phone, or…?

Yeah, bit of distortion – the hotel does look rather tall! You can get some great views over Terazije and of the people on the street from the Beograd store.
As soon as I saw the large ceiling to floor windows, I ran over and started snapping with my mobile and regular camera
