Is the cloudy and cold weather getting you down? Feel like you just need to have a warm, comforting hug? Well, you should definitely head to Belgrade’s Trg republike (Republic Square) on Sunday, 26 October, because free hugs (besplatni zagrljaji) will be dispensed to everyone and anyone who feels the need for some close body contact with absolute strangers. With well over 100 confirmed participants, there will be no shortage of love this Sunday between 12 noon and 2pm.

When I click the link it says it’s been canceled. Did you manage to go to the square?
Last year there was an action in Novi Sad:

Hmm, it was definitly on when I wrote the post – perhaps they ‘cancelled’ the Facebook event once it was happening at the Square. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to make it into town yesterday so I don’t know if anything happened or not.
