This is Katja, a friend of ‘Bibi’ over at A Yankee In Belgrade. She lives on a small piece of land on the outskirts of Belgrade and looks after some 300 stray and abandoned dogs. She looks after them mainly by herself, but she does have some volunteers who help at times.
Stray dogs are a large problem in Serbia and Katja really is a remarkable person to have taken on such a huge and difficult task – I’m sure life is not easy for Katja herself, nevermind feeding and looking after hundreds of dogs. She is also successfully re-homing them throughout Europe.

i am so glad that there is finally a positive news story about strays in serbia. i’m really tired of serbs being vilified by anyone and everyone. i wish i could personally help, but unfortunately all i can do is give money.

Du hast das Herz am richtigen Fleck, was man von vielen Menschen nicht behaupten kann leider!!

Ich fand irgendwo ne deutsche die glaub ich auch hier etwas hilft!!!
